Features and Opportunities
The NAYDO Council is confident you will find this year’s membership of great value. Here’s just a few of the reasons why:
- NAYDO provides information that helps your YMCA increase charitable support and help you articulate the charitable nature of your Y.
- Participate in FREE quarterly web seminars. Hear from the best and brightest both in and outside the philanthropy movement.
- Sign up for the 2011 NAYDO Conference at the Marriott Anaheim scheduled for April 27-30, 2011. This is the largest annual conference conducted for YMCAs so be sure to register early as space is limited.
- CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification is more affordable to you because of your NAYDO membership. NAYDO members receive a 20% discount on initial certification and recertification fees by checking the NAYDO box on their online application form. Initial certification (application and exam) fees are $600 instead of the regular rate of $755. Recertification fees are $350 instead of regular rate of $440.
- NAYDO gathers research-based data on improving the member-donor experience and strategizing for major gifts.
* Launched as a pilot program in 2010, the NAYDO Young Professionals Program will be available to all NAYDO Members
between the ages of 21 - 31 who are new to the NAYDO Conference experience. Watch for more information.
Along with the new features planned for your NAYDO membership in the upcoming year, you will also continue to:
- Receive three (3) issues of NAYDO’s Developments newsletter and occasion special additions that are sent electronically
- Enjoy the lowest rates available for the annual conference - staff who pay in full by the Members Only Deadline of October 29 will experience no increase in their registration fee.
- Qualify for Members Only priority registration for the conference through October 29, 2010
- Be eligible as a nominee for the 2011 Excellence in Fundraising Eagle Award (nomination deadline is December 3, 2010)
- Be able to apply for conference financial assistance through December 3, 2010 (membership assistance is also available throughout the year)
- Have full access to the NAYDO web site www.naydo.org where you can find resources such as the prior year's workshop handouts along with plenty of information
- Offer your services as a volunteer at the conference – a great networking opportunity
- Be able to check out materials from the NAYDO Resource Library which includes copies of the Communications Contest winners from each conference
- Take advantage of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) member rate on their program materials and audio conferences
- Call on a network of qualified resource people, the NAYDO Council, to provide assistance as you strive to create a philanthropic culture at your YMCA.
